Verifeed Privacy Policy

Minimal data access. Clear boundaries.

Back Home

Effective date: May 14, 2026.

Verifeed is designed to help people evaluate the trustworthiness of social posts without turning the extension into a data collection product. The extension reads only the image URLs and caption content needed to run its analysis features, and it does not store personal data from those checks.

What The Extension Accesses

Verifeed analyzes only the signals required to evaluate a visible social post. That includes image URLs from feed images, alt text when it is present, and nearby visible caption text so claims can be checked in context.

How Verifeed Uses That Data

The extension sends image URLs to Verifeed's image-analysis endpoint and sends extracted caption text to Verifeed's claim-verification endpoint. The returned result is used to render inline badges in the page and to update the popup's daily analysis counter.

What Verifeed Does Not Store

No personal data is stored by Verifeed as part of the extension analysis flow. The extension does not request account credentials, private messages, payment data, or unrelated browsing history. It keeps only local extension state such as whether the extension is enabled and the daily count of analyzed images.

Contact
